The PARKER 6MSC8N-316 is a stainless steel compression tube connector designed to create a leak-tight mechanical joint between a 3/8 inch outside diameter tube and a 1/2-14 NPT male threaded port. The compression end grips the tube through ferrule compression, while the MNPT end threads directly into a female NPT fitting or valve body. Rated to 6600 psi maximum working pressure, this connector is built for demanding fluid and gas systems across a wide temperature range, from -425 degrees F to 1200 degrees F. Hand-tighten the compression nut first, then advance with a wrench to the manufacturer-recommended turns past finger-tight — do not overtighten, as excessive force can deform the ferrule and compromise the seal. Verify there are no leaks under pressure before returning the system to service.
