The PARKER 68C-10-6 is a brass compression tube connector designed to join tubing to a male NPT threaded port. It uses a compression-style end on one side and a male NPTF thread on the other, creating a secure, leak-resistant connection in hydraulic, pneumatic, and fluid-handling lines. The fitting is rated for a maximum working pressure of 150 psi and handles temperatures from -65 degrees F to 250 degrees F. Constructed from brass, it resists corrosion and is well suited for plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, and general industrial applications. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and pipefitters are the typical installers.
This connector is used in residential and light commercial systems where tubing must transition to a male NPT threaded fitting. Common install scenarios include connecting copper or compatible soft tubing to valves, gauges, or equipment ports threaded to NPTF standards. The 3/8-18 thread size is a widely used designation in fluid and gas line work. The fitting meets SAE J-512 standards, making it appropriate for applications where that certification is required.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for systems using 3/8-18 NPTF male threaded ports with compression tube connections conforming to SAE J-512.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified HVAC technician following applicable IPC or IFGC guidelines. Shut off and depressurize the system fully before removing or installing any fittings. Use an appropriate thread sealant compatible with brass NPTF fittings and the system fluid. Do not overtighten the compression nut, as this can deform the ferrule and compromise the seal.
