The PARKER 66PTC-4-2 is a brass push-to-connect female connector fitting designed for tube-to-female NPT tube connections in compressed air and fluid systems. It accepts 1/4-inch OD tubing on each tube port and threads into a 1/8-inch NPTF female port. Rated to 250 psi maximum working pressure, this fitting handles temperatures from -40 degrees F to 200 degrees F. The nitrile O-ring construction ensures a reliable seal under pressure cycling. It carries D.O.T. FMVSS571.106 certification, making it a legitimate air brake fitting for commercial vehicle and fleet applications. Installation requires no tools on the tube side — tubing seats and locks with a straight push.
This fitting is used in D.O.T.-rated air brake systems, pneumatic control lines, and compressed air distribution plumbing where a tube-to-female-NPT inline connection is needed. Typical applications include commercial truck air brake circuits, industrial pneumatic panels, and HVAC or refrigeration control line assemblies where push-to-connect convenience and compliance with SAE J2494 and SAE J2494-3 standards are required. Its compact overall length of 0.56 inches makes it well suited for tight routing runs.
Designed for use with 1/4-inch OD tubing in D.O.T.-rated air brake systems and pneumatic circuits requiring a 1/8-inch NPTF female port connection. Verify tubing OD, port thread size, and system pressure rating before installation.
Depressurize and drain the air system completely before removing or installing any fittings. The NPTF threads should be installed by a qualified technician familiar with D.O.T. air brake component requirements and applicable SAE standards. Apply thread sealant compatible with the system fluid — do not over-torque the threaded port connection. Ensure tubing is cut square and free of burrs before inserting into the push-to-connect ports to achieve a proper seal.
