The PARKER 660fhd-10 is a brass 45-degree flare fitting engineered for high-pressure, metal-to-metal sealing in refrigeration, HVAC, and fluid-handling applications. The fitting clamps the flared tube end between the nut and body, creating a mechanically secure connection with strong resistance to pull-out forces. All-brass construction and forged nuts make this fitting suitable for demanding service where leak-free joints are critical. It meets the functional requirements of SAE J512 and SAE J513. Licensed HVAC technicians, plumbers, and refrigeration mechanics install this fitting where open-flame soldering is not desired or practical.
The 660fhd-10 is used across residential and commercial systems including refrigerant lines, propane lines, fuel lines, natural gas runs, and oil burner connections. Its 45-degree flare design is compatible with copper, brass, aluminum, and welded steel hydraulic tubing that can be flared. The fitting is well-suited for mobile equipment, heavy-duty truck hydraulic systems, and industrial fluid circuits in addition to standard HVAC and refrigeration installations.

Installation is typically performed by licensed HVAC technicians, refrigeration mechanics, or plumbers depending on the fluid service. Shut off and depressurize the system completely before disconnecting or installing any flare fitting. A proper flaring tool must be used to produce a consistent 45-degree flare on the tube end before assembly. Torque the flare nut by hand until seated, then follow standard trade practices for final wrench tightening without over-torquing, which can crack the flare seat.
