The PARKER 63PT-2-16 is a brass compression tube insert designed to reinforce soft tubing in compression fitting assemblies. The insert seats inside the tube end to prevent collapse when the compression nut and ferrule are tightened, maintaining a reliable, leak-free seal. Manufactured from brass, this insert accommodates a 1/8 inch tube outside diameter and measures 0.46 inches in overall length. It is rated for service between -65 degrees F and 250 degrees F, making it suitable for a broad range of fluid and gas handling applications. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and instrumentation installers commonly use these inserts wherever soft copper, nylon, or poly tubing terminates at a compression fitting.
This insert is appropriate for residential and light commercial plumbing, refrigeration, pneumatic control lines, and instrumentation tubing systems that use 1/8 inch OD soft-wall tubing. It is used wherever tubing wall integrity at a compression joint must be maintained to prevent fitting pullout or deformation under pressure cycling or vibration. The insert is a standard component in any compression fitting repair or new installation involving soft tubing.
Designed as an OEM-style insert for use with standard compression fittings accepting 1/8 inch OD tubing, including soft copper, nylon, and polyethylene tubing assemblies.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or qualified HVAC and instrumentation technicians. Always depressurize and drain the line before disassembling any compression fitting. Seat the insert fully into the tube end before sliding on the ferrule and nut to ensure the insert does not shift during tightening. Follow applicable IPC or IFGC guidelines for the system type and fluid being handled.
