The PARKER 62PLP-6-8 is a push-to-connect unequal union tube fitting designed for tube-to-tube connections where the two lines differ in outside diameter. Constructed of nickel-plated brass, it accepts 3/8-inch OD tubing on one end and 1/2-inch OD tubing on the other, allowing a direct transition without additional adapters. The fitting is rated to 300 psi and operates across a temperature range of 0 degrees F to 200 degrees F. The push-to-connect mechanism provides a fast, tool-free connection, reducing assembly time in compressed air, pneumatic control, and general-purpose fluid lines. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and pneumatic system installers use this fitting in both new installations and field repairs.
This fitting is suited for general-purpose pneumatic and fluid transfer applications in residential and light commercial systems. It is commonly installed in compressed air distribution lines, HVAC pneumatic controls, and other systems using polyethylene or nylon tubing. The overall length of 1.82 inches keeps the assembly compact in tight spaces. The black release button is made of flame-resistant material compliant with the UL 94 V-0 standard, making it appropriate for installations where flame resistance is required.
Designed as an OEM-style push-to-connect union for general-purpose pneumatic and fluid systems using 3/8-inch and 1/2-inch OD tubing.
Installation should be performed by a qualified technician familiar with pneumatic or fluid line assembly. Depressurize and isolate the line completely before disconnecting or installing any fitting. Ensure tubing ends are cut cleanly and squarely, free of burrs, to achieve a proper seal. Follow applicable codes and the fitting manufacturer guidelines for maximum allowable working pressure and temperature in the specific application.
