The PARKER 62P-5 is a brass compression tube union designed to join two compression-end tubing runs in a single inline connection. It provides a leak-resistant mechanical seal without soldering, making it a practical choice for repairs and new installations alike. Rated to 150 psi maximum working pressure and suitable for service from 0 degrees F to 150 degrees F, this union fits comfortably within the operating range of most residential and light commercial fluid and gas distribution systems. Licensed plumbers and HVAC technicians are the primary installers of this fitting type.
This fitting is commonly used in residential and light commercial plumbing, refrigeration tubing runs, and HVAC fluid lines where a reliable tube-to-tube union connection is needed without the use of flame or solder. Its compression-by-compression end configuration makes it well suited for copper or compatible soft tubing applications where field assembly speed and serviceability are priorities. The all-brass construction resists corrosion and holds up in both wet and dry service environments.
Designed as an OEM-style compression tube union for use in residential and light commercial plumbing and HVAC tubing systems where compression-end fittings are specified.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed plumber or HVAC technician. Shut off the water or fluid supply and relieve system pressure before disassembling or installing any compression fitting. Ensure tubing ends are cut square, deburred, and free of scoring before seating the ferrule and nut. Overtightening compression fittings can distort the ferrule and cause leaks — snug the nut by hand, then tighten only as needed to achieve a seal.
