The PARKER 62HD-3 is a brass compression tube union designed to join two compression-end tube lines in a single inline fitting. It provides a leak-resistant, metal-to-metal seal without the need for soldering or flaring. Rated to 2850 psi maximum working pressure, this union handles demanding fluid and gas service across a wide temperature range of -65 degrees F to 250 degrees F. Fabricated from brass, it resists corrosion in hydraulic, pneumatic, and instrumentation line applications. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and instrumentation technicians install this fitting where a removable, pressure-rated inline union connection is required.
The 62HD-3 is suited for residential and commercial plumbing, HVAC refrigerant and fluid circuits, pneumatic control lines, and instrumentation tubing systems where compression-style end connections are specified. Its all-brass construction makes it appropriate for use with copper and compatible soft-metal tubing in both above-ground and accessible in-line installations. The compression x compression configuration allows field assembly with standard hand tools and no open flame.
Designed as an OEM-style compression tube union for use in hydraulic, pneumatic, instrumentation, and plumbing tubing systems requiring a compression x compression union fitting.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or qualified HVAC and instrumentation technicians. Shut off and depressurize the line completely before disassembly or installation. Compression fittings require proper tube squareness and deburring for a leak-free seal; do not overtighten, as this can damage the ferrule and compromise the seal. Follow applicable IPC or IFGC guidelines for fluid and gas line fittings in the jurisdiction of installation.
