The PARKER 61PB-6 is a brass compression tube sleeve designed to create a secure, leak-resistant connection in compression fitting assemblies. The sleeve seats between the compression nut and fitting body, biting into the outer diameter of the tube to form a reliable mechanical seal. Rated for a maximum working pressure of 150 psi and a temperature range of 0 to 150 degrees F, this sleeve suits a wide range of fluid and pneumatic line applications. It is sized for 3/8 inch tube outside diameter and is compatible with standard compression fitting configurations. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and industrial pipefitters commonly install this sleeve as part of new compression assemblies or as a replacement component during line service.
This sleeve is appropriate for residential and light commercial plumbing, HVAC refrigerant-adjacent tubing, and instrumentation lines where compression fittings are the specified connection method. It is well suited for copper and compatible soft-metal tubing with a 3/8 inch outside diameter. The 150 psi pressure rating makes it a practical choice for water supply, low-pressure pneumatic, and process fluid lines operating within its rated temperature window.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation sleeve for standard compression fitting assemblies using 3/8 inch outside diameter tubing.
Compression sleeves are installed by plumbers and pipefitters as part of a three-piece compression fitting assembly: nut, sleeve, and fitting body. Always depressurize and drain the line before disassembling or assembling compression fittings. The sleeve should be positioned squarely on the tube before hand-tightening the nut, then turned with a wrench per the fitting manufacturer's standard procedure — do not over-tighten, as over-compression can deform the sleeve and cause leaks. Follow applicable IPC or local plumbing codes for the specific system being serviced.
