The PARKER 60NTA-4 is a brass compression tube sleeve designed to create leak-tight connections in compression-style tubing assemblies. It seats against the tube OD during fitting makeup, forming a reliable mechanical seal without the need for thread sealants. Rated to 150 psi maximum working pressure and suitable for temperatures ranging from -40 degrees F to 200 degrees F, this sleeve handles demanding service conditions found in hydraulic, pneumatic, and fluid transfer lines. It carries DOT FMVSS571.106, SAE J1131, and SAE J246 certifications, making it appropriate for both vehicular and industrial plumbing applications. Plumbers, fleet mechanics, and hydraulic technicians are the primary installers.
This sleeve is used in compression fitting assemblies on copper, steel, or compatible tubing in residential and commercial fluid systems, mobile equipment, and brake or fuel line repairs. With an inside diameter of 0.2560 inches, it is sized for standard small-bore tubing runs where a compression-style end connection is specified. Its brass construction resists corrosion in wet and moderate-chemical environments, making it a common choice in both stationary and mobile service settings.
Designed as an OEM-style compression sleeve for use with standard compression tube fittings in fluid transfer, brake, and pneumatic line assemblies where SAE J1131 and SAE J246 specifications are required.
Installation is typically performed by licensed plumbers, hydraulic technicians, or qualified fleet mechanics. Depressurize and drain the line completely before disassembling any compression fitting. Use proper tubing cutters to ensure a square, burr-free tube end before seating the sleeve — a damaged tube end will prevent proper sleeve engagement and can cause leaks. Follow applicable SAE and DOT standards for torque and assembly procedure specific to the fitting body being used.
