The PARKER 60C-8 is a brass compression tube sleeve designed to create a secure, leak-resistant connection in compression tube fittings. It seats against the fitting body and nut to grip the outside of the tubing when the connection is tightened. This sleeve is manufactured from brass to resist corrosion in fluid and pneumatic systems. It meets SAE J-512 standards and is rated for working pressures up to 200 psi across a temperature range of -65 degrees F to 250 degrees F. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and industrial piping mechanics are the typical installers.
This compression sleeve is suited for use in residential and light commercial plumbing, refrigeration lines, hydraulic circuits, and fluid transfer systems where compression-style tube connections are specified. The 1/2 inch tube outside diameter sizing fits standard half-inch tubing runs. It is commonly installed in potable water lines, fuel lines, and instrument tubing assemblies where a reliable mechanical grip on the tube is required without the need for flaring or soldering.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or service component for compression tube fitting assemblies requiring a 1/2 inch OD sleeve conforming to SAE J-512.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or qualified HVAC and refrigeration technicians. Shut off and depressurize the fluid or pneumatic system completely before disassembling any fitting. Slide the sleeve onto the tubing before inserting the tube into the fitting body, then tighten the compression nut to the fitting body per the fitting manufacturer's torque guidance. Do not reuse a compression sleeve that has already been fully torqued, as deformation from the first installation reduces sealing reliability.
