The PARKER 60C-3 is a brass compression tube sleeve designed for use in compression-style tube fittings. The sleeve seats between the fitting body and the compression nut, creating a leak-resistant mechanical connection on tubing with a 3/16 inch outside diameter. It is rated for a maximum working pressure of 400 psi and a temperature range of -65 degrees F to 250 degrees F. Fabricated from brass, this sleeve meets SAE J-512 standards for compression tube fittings. It is commonly installed by HVAC technicians, plumbers, and refrigeration mechanics working on small-diameter tubing systems where threaded compression connections are required.
This sleeve is suited for residential and light commercial applications involving copper or compatible soft tubing. Typical installation scenarios include low-pressure refrigerant lines, fuel lines, hydraulic control lines, and instrumentation tubing assemblies. The NPTF thread standard and SAE J-512 compliance make it a reliable choice in systems where a secure, vibration-resistant compression connection is needed on 3/16 inch OD tubing.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement compression sleeve for use with SAE J-512 compliant compression fittings on 3/16 inch outside diameter tubing.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, or refrigeration mechanics. Depressurize and isolate the tubing circuit completely before disassembling any compression fitting. Slide the sleeve onto the tubing before threading on the compression nut, and ensure the tubing end is cut cleanly and deburred to achieve a proper seal. Do not overtighten the compression nut, as this can deform the sleeve and compromise the connection.
