The PARKER 6 RBU-S is a flareless bite-type male run tee fitting designed for high-pressure hydraulic and instrumentation tube lines. It accepts 3/8 inch tube OD and connects to a 1/4 inch NPTF male port, creating an inline branch connection without requiring flared tubing ends. The 24-degree bite-type design grips the tube on assembly, forming a leak-resistant mechanical seal rated to 5,000 psi maximum working pressure. Constructed from steel for durability in demanding service environments, this fitting has an overall length of 2.18 inches. It is installed by licensed pipefitters, hydraulic technicians, and fluid power mechanics working on industrial or mobile equipment plumbing circuits.
This fitting is suited for use in hydraulic systems, fluid power circuits, and instrumentation tubing runs where a branch connection off the main line is required at an NPTF-threaded port. The male run tee configuration allows the main tube to pass through while the male NPTF thread connects directly to a mating female port on a valve body, manifold, or component housing. Typical applications include industrial machinery, mobile equipment, and process control systems operating at elevated pressures.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or service fitting for flareless bite-type tube systems using 3/8 inch OD tubing and 1/4 inch NPTF ported components in hydraulic and fluid power applications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified pipefitter or hydraulic technician familiar with flareless bite-type fitting assembly procedures. Depressurize and isolate the hydraulic circuit fully before removing or installing any fittings. On initial assembly, advance the nut the manufacturer-specified number of turns past finger-tight to properly seat the bite sleeve into the tube wall without over-driving. Consult applicable system schematics and relevant codes such as ASME B31.3 or equipment OEM specifications for torque and assembly requirements.
