The PARKER 4SC4-B is a brass compression tube union designed to join two compression-end tube lines in a single inline fitting. It provides a leak-resistant mechanical connection without soldering or threading, making it well suited for instrumentation, fluid power, and process piping applications. The fitting is rated to 3500 psi maximum working pressure and measures 1.62 inches in overall length. Constructed from brass conforming to ASME-SB75 and ASTM-B75 standards, it delivers consistent dimensional accuracy and reliable sealing performance. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and instrumentation technicians are the typical installers.
This fitting is used in residential and commercial plumbing, HVAC refrigerant piping, hydraulic instrumentation lines, and process fluid systems where a straight inline union connection between two compression-end tubes is required. Its all-brass construction makes it appropriate for water, air, oil, and compatible gas service within its rated pressure range. The compact 1.62-inch length suits installations with limited inline clearance.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit compression union for tubing systems requiring compression x compression inline unions within the fitting's rated pressure and material specifications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, pipefitter, or qualified instrumentation technician. Depressurize and isolate the line completely before disassembly or fitting installation. Compression fittings require proper tube preparation including squaring and deburring the cut end before inserting the ferrule and nut. Do not overtighten the compression nut; follow the fitting manufacturer's recommended turn count past finger-tight to achieve a proper ferrule bite without deforming the tube.
