The PARKER 4FSC8N-B is a brass compression tube connector designed to join compression tubing to female NPT threaded ports in fluid and gas distribution systems. Rated to 3500 psi maximum working pressure, it provides a reliable, leak-resistant transition between a compression fitting end and a 1/2-14 FNPT threaded connection. Constructed from brass, it offers good corrosion resistance in a wide range of media. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and industrial piping mechanics typically install this type of fitting in hydraulic, pneumatic, instrumentation, and process lines where a secure tube-to-pipe transition is required.
This connector is suited for residential and commercial applications where compression tubing must interface with NPT-threaded ports on valves, manifolds, or equipment panels. Common install scenarios include instrumentation tubing runs, refrigeration and HVAC piping connections, and hydraulic or pneumatic control lines. The 1/2-14 thread size and compression end configuration make it appropriate for medium-duty pressure service in both above-ground and panel-mounted installations.
Designed as an OEM-style compression-to-FNPT connector for use in fluid and gas piping systems requiring a 1/2-14 FPT threaded port connection. Cross-references Swagelok part number B-400-7-8.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed plumber or qualified HVAC or instrumentation technician. Shut off and depressurize the system completely before removing or installing any compression fitting. Apply thread sealant compatible with the system media to the FNPT threads; do not apply sealant to the compression end. Follow applicable codes including ASME B31.1 or B31.3 for process and pressure piping as required by the application.
