The PARKER 4BLP4-B is a compression tube plug designed to seal the end of a 1/4-inch outside diameter tube in instrumentation, hydraulic, or pneumatic systems. Machined from brass, it accepts a standard compression fitting end connection and holds a maximum working pressure of 3500 psi. This plug is used when a tube run must be capped off cleanly without welding or threading. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and instrumentation fitters install this fitting during system commissioning, maintenance, or when blanking unused ports on a manifold or distribution block.
This compression tube plug is suited for residential and light commercial applications where brass construction is appropriate for the media and pressure range. It is commonly installed on copper or compatible soft-metal tubing in refrigeration, fuel gas, hydraulic, and instrumentation line sets. The compression end connection allows for tool-assisted installation without soldering, making it a practical field solution for capping live or newly run tubing.
Designed as an OEM-style compression plug for use with 1/4-inch outside diameter tubing in standard compression fitting systems. Cross-references to Swagelok part number B-400-P.
Installation should be performed by a qualified tradesperson following applicable codes such as the IPC or IFGC depending on the media being handled. Depressurize and isolate the tube line completely before installing or removing any compression fitting. Use an appropriate tube cutter and deburring tool to prepare the tube end before seating the plug. Do not overtighten the compression nut, as this can deform the ferrule and compromise the seal.
