The PARKER 4BLEN4-316 is a compression-style tube end cap manufactured from stainless steel and designed to seal the open end of a compression tube line. It threads onto a compression fitting end, creating a pressure-tight closure without welding or brazing. Rated to 10,300 psi maximum working pressure, it handles extreme service conditions and operates across a wide temperature range of -425 degrees F to 1,200 degrees F. The stainless steel construction resists corrosion in aggressive fluid and gas service environments. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and instrumentation technicians are the typical installers for this type of fitting.
This end cap is suited for use in high-pressure instrumentation lines, hydraulic systems, pneumatic circuits, and process piping where a compression tube termination must be capped or isolated. Its broad temperature range makes it appropriate for cryogenic service as well as high-temperature process applications. The compact overall length of 0.92 inches allows installation in tight tubing layouts common in panel-mounted instrumentation and skid-mounted process equipment.
Designed as an OEM-style compression tube end cap for use in high-pressure instrumentation, hydraulic, and process piping systems that utilize compression-style tube fittings.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed pipefitter or instrumentation technician. Depressurize and isolate the tubing circuit completely before installing or removing any compression fitting. Ensure tubing is cut square, deburred, and fully seated before tightening the compression nut. Follow applicable codes such as ASME B31.3 for process piping when selecting fitting torque and assembly procedures.
