The PARKER 41FL-8 is a brass long nut designed for 45-degree flared tube connections in fluid and refrigerant line assemblies. It accepts a 1/2-inch tube OD and threads onto a 3/4-16 UNF male fitting to secure a flared tube end in place. Rated to 750 psi maximum working pressure and 250 degrees F, this nut is built for demanding service in HVAC, refrigeration, and plumbing applications. At 1.62 inches overall length, the extended body provides additional engagement compared to a standard short nut, which aids in alignment during assembly. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and refrigeration mechanics are the primary installers.
This long nut is used wherever a 45-degree SAE flare connection is required on 1/2-inch OD tubing. Common applications include refrigerant line sets, fuel gas lines, and hydraulic or pneumatic circuits where a secure, leak-free flare joint is needed. It meets SAE J512, SAE J513, and UL Listing standards, making it appropriate for both residential and light commercial installations. It is sold individually.
Designed for use with 1/2-inch OD tubing flared to a 45-degree angle and compatible with standard SAE 45-degree male flare fittings using 3/4-16 UNF thread.
Installation is typically performed by licensed HVAC technicians, refrigeration mechanics, or plumbers. Depressurize and isolate the line completely before disassembly or connection of any flare fitting. Ensure the tube end is properly flared to a 45-degree angle using a calibrated flaring tool before threading on the nut. Do not overtighten; follow applicable SAE and system manufacturer torque guidance. Verify compliance with local codes, including applicable sections of the IFGC or IPC where relevant.
