The PARKER 3J982-8-8 is a female Seal-Lok swivel 90-degree elbow hydraulic hose fitting designed for high-pressure fluid power systems. Machined from steel, it connects to size-8 hose with a 0.5-inch inside diameter and uses a 13/16-16 threaded SAE port interface. The swivel design allows the hose end to rotate during installation, making routing easier in tight equipment bays without twisting the hose. This fitting is used by hydraulic technicians and heavy equipment mechanics on mobile and industrial hydraulic circuits. It conforms to ISO 12151-1-SWES90 and is manufactured under the PARKER Series 82 fitting line.
This fitting is suited for mobile equipment, agricultural machinery, construction equipment, and industrial hydraulic plumbing where a 90-degree hose-to-port transition is required. It is rated for use with PARKER 801, 804, 821, 821FR, and 836 hose series. The SAE shaft type and standard 13/16-16 thread make it a direct-fit option in circuits using SAE straight-thread O-ring face seal ports. Installations typically occur in hydraulic systems where routing constraints require an angled hose exit at the fitting end.
Rated for use with PARKER 801, 804, 821, 821FR, and 836 hose series. Designed for size-8 hose with a 0.5-inch inside diameter and SAE 13/16-16 straight-thread O-ring face seal port connections.
Installation should be performed by a qualified hydraulic technician. Depressurize and bleed down the hydraulic system fully before removing or installing any fittings. Inspect the O-ring sealing surface on the mating port for nicks or contamination before assembly. Do not use thread sealant tape on O-ring face seal fittings — the O-ring provides the seal. Torque to the fitting manufacturer specification using a calibrated torque wrench; do not over-tighten steel fittings into aluminum ports.
