The PARKER 2MSC8N-316 is a stainless steel compression tube connector designed to join tubing to male NPT pipe threads in high-pressure and extreme-temperature fluid and gas systems. This fitting transitions from a compression tube end to a male NPT threaded end, providing a reliable mechanical seal without the need for brazing or welding. Rated to 10,900 psi maximum working pressure and capable of handling temperatures from -425 degrees F to 1,200 degrees F, it is built for demanding industrial, instrumentation, and process applications. The 316 stainless steel construction resists corrosion in aggressive media. Plumbers, pipefitters, and instrumentation technicians are the typical installers.
This connector is suited for use in high-pressure instrumentation lines, process piping, pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems, and chemical or cryogenic service where wide temperature range ratings are required. The 1/2-14 NPT thread size and 1/8 inch tube outside diameter make it appropriate for small-bore tubing runs connecting to standard NPT-threaded valves, manifolds, or equipment ports. It is commonly used in both commercial and industrial settings where stainless steel is specified for corrosion resistance or cleanliness requirements.

Installation is performed by qualified pipefitters or instrumentation technicians following applicable process piping codes. Depressurize and isolate the line completely before disconnecting or installing any compression fitting. Use a backup wrench on the NPT body when torquing to avoid twisting the tubing; do not over-tighten, as stainless compression fittings require only firm hand-plus-wrench engagement per the manufacturer procedure. Verify tube end is cut square, deburred, and fully seated in the compression fitting before tightening the nut.
