The PARKER 219P-4 is a hollow hex plug designed for industrial pipe systems requiring a reliable threaded closure. Constructed from brass, this plug features a 1/4 inch male MNPTF (male national pipe taper fuel) thread and is rated for a maximum working pressure of 1000 psi. It handles temperatures from -65 degrees F to 250 degrees F, making it suitable for a wide range of fluid and pneumatic service applications. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and HVAC technicians install this fitting when capping off or plugging a threaded port in a pressurized system line.
The 219P-4 is suited for use in residential and commercial piping systems where a low-profile hex plug is needed at a 1/4 inch MNPTF port. Typical applications include capping unused ports on manifolds, valves, and pipe assemblies in hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, and general fluid service systems. The brass construction makes it appropriate for use with water, air, oil, and compatible fuel lines where corrosion resistance and machinability are required.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or service fitting for industrial and commercial pipe assemblies using 1/4 inch MNPTF threaded ports rated up to 1000 psi.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed plumber, pipefitter, or HVAC technician. Depressurize and isolate the system before removing or installing any threaded pipe fitting. Apply an appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male threads in accordance with the system fluid compatibility and applicable codes such as the IPC or IFGC. Do not overtighten; taper threads seal through thread engagement and excessive force can crack brass fittings or distort the seat.
