The PARKER 213P-8 is a brass pipe end cap designed to seal the terminal end of a 1/2-inch female-threaded pipe or fitting. It accepts a female National Pipe Taper Fuel (FNPTF) connection and is rated for a maximum working pressure of 1000 psi. The cap is constructed from brass, offering good corrosion resistance in fuel, air, oil, and water service applications. It is a standard dead-end fitting used by plumbers, pipefitters, HVAC technicians, and industrial maintenance trades to close off unused pipe ports or to pressure-test a line segment.
This end cap is suited for residential and light commercial piping systems where a reliable, threaded dead-end closure is required. Common applications include fuel lines, compressed air headers, hydraulic systems, and water distribution lines. With a temperature range of -65 degrees F to 250 degrees F, it performs across a wide range of service conditions. The single-piece brass body threads directly onto a 1/2-inch FNPTF male-threaded port with no additional components required.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or service fitting for any 1/2-inch male FNPTF-threaded pipe port in plumbing, HVAC, compressed air, fuel, or hydraulic piping systems where a brass dead-end cap is specified.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber, pipefitter, or qualified HVAC technician. Depressurize and isolate the line before removing or installing any pipe fittings. Apply an appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male threads before threading on the cap. Tighten with a properly sized wrench; do not over-tighten, as brass fittings can be damaged by excessive torque. Verify there are no leaks by pressure-testing the line after installation per applicable code requirements.
