The PARKER 1SC1-316 is a compression tube union fitting manufactured from stainless steel. It connects two compression-end tube lines of equal outside diameter, creating a leak-resistant inline joint without welding or soldering. The fitting accepts tubing with a 1/16 inch outside diameter and is rated for a maximum working pressure of 16800 psi, making it well suited for high-pressure instrumentation and process lines. The operating temperature range spans from -425 degrees F to 1200 degrees F, covering cryogenic applications through high-temperature service. Licensed plumbers, instrumentation technicians, and industrial pipefitters are the typical trade professionals who install and service this fitting.
This union fitting is used in high-pressure fluid and gas instrumentation systems, hydraulic sampling lines, and process control tubing runs where a removable inline connection is required. The compression-by-compression end configuration allows the fitting to join two tube segments without special end preparation beyond a clean, square cut. Its stainless steel construction makes it a practical choice for corrosive media, high-purity systems, and environments demanding long service life under thermal cycling.
Designed as an OEM-style compression union for 1/16 inch OD stainless steel tubing in high-pressure instrumentation and process fluid systems.
Installation should be performed by a qualified instrumentation technician or licensed pipefitter in accordance with applicable pressure piping codes. De-pressurize and isolate the line completely before disassembly or fitting installation. Compression fittings require a properly cut, deburred tube end seated fully into the fitting body before the nut is tightened. Do not over-tighten the compression nut, as this can damage the ferrule and compromise the seal.
