The PARKER 1720450 is a straight female O-ring boss (ORB) nipple fitting designed for hydraulic hose assemblies operating at pressures up to 4000 psi. Machined from steel, it features a 9/16-18 thread size and accepts 3/8 inch hose. The fitting provides a threaded, leak-resistant connection using an O-ring sealing interface at the boss port, which reduces the risk of fluid loss compared to tapered-thread designs. It carries an SAE shaft designation and conforms to ISO 7241-1 Series A. This component is installed by hydraulic technicians and mobile equipment mechanics working on fluid-power systems across a range of field and vehicle-mounted applications.
The PARKER 1720450 is suited for mobile hydraulic applications where a reliable ORB port connection is required at moderate hose sizes. Documented applications include snow plows, truck and trailer hydraulic connections, and general mobile equipment. The Series 6600 design supports a maximum flow rate of 6.00 GPM and handles system pressures up to 4000 psi, making it appropriate for common mobile hydraulic circuits found on work trucks and utility vehicles. The straight body geometry simplifies routing in tight valve-block or manifold installations.
Designed for use with mobile hydraulic applications including snow plows and truck and trailer connections. Accepts 3/8 inch hydraulic hose with a 9/16-18 threaded port interface. Part of the Parker Series 6600 fitting line.
Installation should be performed by a qualified hydraulic technician. Depressurize the hydraulic system fully and relieve any stored accumulator pressure before removing or installing fittings. Inspect the O-ring for damage before assembly and ensure the boss port seat is clean and free of burrs to achieve a proper seal. Torque to the fitting manufacturer or equipment OEM specification for the thread size; do not over-tighten, as this can deform the O-ring seat and cause leaks.
