The PARKER 169HD-6-2 is a brass compression tube male elbow designed to connect tubing to a male NPT threaded port at a 90-degree angle. The fitting accepts 3/8 inch outside diameter tubing on the compression end and threads into a 1/8 inch male NPT port on the other end. Rated to 1500 psi maximum working pressure, this elbow is built for demanding fluid and gas line applications. The all-brass construction resists corrosion and holds up in both wet and dry service environments. It is a standard single-piece fitting suited for use by plumbers, HVAC technicians, and industrial maintenance professionals.
This fitting is used where a tube line must change direction and terminate at a threaded port. Common applications include instrumentation lines, pneumatic control circuits, refrigeration and HVAC equipment, hydraulic systems, and general-purpose plumbing. The compression-style connection allows for installation without soldering or special tooling, making it practical for field service and tight spaces. The MNPT end threads directly into standard NPT-tapped ports on valves, manifolds, regulators, and equipment panels.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for systems using 3/8 inch OD compression tubing terminated at a 1/8 inch male NPT port, including pneumatic controls, HVAC instrumentation lines, and fluid handling equipment.
Installation is performed by plumbers, HVAC technicians, or instrumentation mechanics working on pressurized fluid or gas lines. Shut off and depressurize the system completely before removing or installing any compression fitting. Hand-tighten the compression nut onto the tubing, then advance with a wrench per standard compression fitting practice — do not overtighten, as brass ferrules can crack under excessive torque. Thread sealant or PTFE tape is recommended on the MNPT end to prevent leakage at the threaded joint.
