The PARKER 16383 is a steel flared tube connector designed for high-pressure fluid and gas line assemblies in industrial, hydraulic, and HVAC piping systems. It features a 37-degree flare end connection mating to an NPTF threaded port, providing a reliable metal-to-metal seal without additional sealant. The fitting accepts 3/4 inch tube OD and connects to a 1/2-14 NPTF thread. Rated to 5000 psi maximum working pressure and a maximum working temperature of 500 degrees F, this connector is built for demanding service conditions. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and hydraulic technicians are the primary installers.
This connector is suited for use in hydraulic lines, refrigerant piping, fuel systems, and other high-pressure tubing circuits where a secure flare-to-NPT transition is required. The 37-degree flare angle conforms to SAE J514 and ISO 8434-2 standards, making it compatible with standard SAE 37-degree flared tubing systems found in both commercial and industrial installations. The NPTF end threads provide a dry-seal connection to ported components, manifolds, and threaded fittings commonly found in fluid power and process piping applications.
Designed for use with 3/4 inch OD SAE 37-degree flared tubing systems connecting to 1/2-14 NPTF ported components in hydraulic, fuel, and fluid piping circuits.
Installation should be performed by a licensed pipefitter, plumber, or qualified hydraulic technician. Depressurize and isolate the system completely before removing or installing any fittings. Flare ends require properly flared tubing at the correct 37-degree angle to achieve a leak-free metal-to-metal seal. Torque the NPTF threads to the assembly specifications for the mating component and inspect for leaks before returning the system to service.
