The PARKER 149F-6-12 is a brass 45-degree flared tube male elbow fitting designed for use in hydraulic, refrigeration, and fluid-transfer line assemblies. It connects a 3/8-inch OD flared tube to a 3/4-14 NPTF male threaded port, providing a reliable, leak-resistant joint in pressurized systems. The fitting is rated to 1000 psi maximum working pressure and withstands temperatures up to 250 degrees F, making it suitable for demanding service environments. HVAC technicians, plumbers, and fluid-power mechanics install this type of fitting when routing tubing at a 45-degree angle change is required at a threaded port connection.
This fitting is used in residential and light commercial HVAC systems, refrigeration line sets, hydraulic circuits, and general plumbing applications where a flared tube-to-male-thread transition is needed. The 45-degree elbow geometry allows for compact routing in tight equipment cabinets or machinery enclosures. It is sold individually and suits applications governed by SAE J512 and SAE J513 flare standards as well as UL Listing requirements.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for flared tube assemblies using 3/8-inch OD tubing and a 3/4-14 NPTF male threaded port connection in accordance with SAE J512 and SAE J513 flare specifications.
This fitting is installed by licensed HVAC technicians, refrigeration mechanics, or plumbers. Always depressurize and evacuate the system before disconnecting or installing any fitting in a pressurized fluid or refrigerant line. Ensure the tube end is properly flared to the correct SAE 45-degree flare angle before seating the fitting to prevent leaks. NPTF dry-seal threads are designed to seal on the threads themselves; apply thread sealant only if required by the system manufacturer or applicable code.
