The PARKER 1/4 FF-SS is a stainless steel hex plug designed to seal off open pipe ports in high-pressure fluid and gas systems. It carries a maximum working pressure rating of 7,200 psi and connects via a 1/4 inch male MNPTF (male national pipe tapered fuel) thread. The straight fitting profile and 5/8 inch hex drive allow for clean, wrench-tight installation in confined or inline service positions. At 0.04 pounds, the part is compact and lightweight. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and industrial maintenance technicians install this type of plug as part of pressure testing setups, system decommissioning, or port capping on manifolds and valves.
This plug is suited for use in hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, and instrumentation piping systems where a durable, corrosion-resistant port closure is required. The stainless steel construction makes it appropriate for both indoor industrial environments and installations exposed to moisture, mild chemicals, or temperature variation. Typical applications include capping unused outlets on hydraulic manifolds, sealing test ports after pressure verification, and closing off instrument taps in process piping systems.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation hex plug for 1/4 inch MNPTF threaded ports in industrial hydraulic, pneumatic, and fluid-handling piping systems.
Installation is performed by licensed pipefitters or qualified industrial maintenance technicians. Depressurize and isolate the system completely before installing or removing any pipe plug. Apply an appropriate thread sealant compatible with the system fluid and pressure rating. Tighten to a firm, wrench-tight fit using a 5/8 inch wrench — do not over-torque threaded fittings, as this can damage port threads.
