The PARAMOUNT PAR34168 is a metric hex key built for high-torque fastener work in mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and general trade applications. It features a 6.00 mm ball-end tip and a T-handle cushion grip that allows inline driving as well as angled access up to 30 degrees off-axis. The shaft and tip are manufactured from Protanium High Torque Steel, a hardened alloy designed to resist cam-out and deformation under sustained torque loads. At 10.5 inches overall length, the tool provides adequate leverage for tightening set screws, equipment panels, and mounting hardware without requiring a separate handle or adapter. This is a hand tool, not a power-tool accessory.
This hex key is suited for residential and commercial HVAC service, refrigeration equipment, pump and motor installation, and general mechanical maintenance where metric fasteners are common. The ball-end design is particularly useful in confined equipment spaces where straight-on access to a fastener is blocked by adjacent components or structural framing. Technicians working on equipment with metric set screws in fan blades, motor pulleys, or valve assemblies will find the T-handle grip practical for both initial seating and final torque.
Designed for use with any standard 6.00 mm metric hex fastener in HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical trade applications where a T-handle driver is required.
This tool is installed by hand and requires no power source. Always confirm the hex socket size on the fastener before applying torque to avoid rounding. De-energize and lock out electrical equipment before accessing fasteners on powered assemblies. Follow applicable equipment manufacturer service procedures when disassembling components under pressure or mechanical tension.
