The PARAMOUNT PAR17552 is a metric ball end hex key designed for fastener driving in confined or angled workspaces. The long arm configuration provides greater torque leverage on hex socket fasteners, while the ball end allows engagement at off-axis angles where a straight key cannot seat flush. The key measures 3-3/16 inches overall length and is finished in black oxide for corrosion resistance. It is made from steel, giving it the durability needed for repetitive mechanical assembly, service work, and equipment maintenance tasks performed by HVAC technicians, plumbers, electricians, and other trade professionals.
This hex key is suited for metric fastener applications requiring a 2 mm hex drive. It fits typical service scenarios where equipment panels, motor mounts, valve assemblies, or component brackets use small metric socket head cap screws. The long arm design is especially useful when clearance around the fastener head is limited or when working deep inside equipment cabinets. The ball end allows up to approximately 25 degrees of angular engagement, which reduces the need to reposition in tight installations.
Designed for use with 2 mm metric hex socket fasteners commonly found in mechanical equipment, control panels, and component assemblies across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general trade service applications.
This tool is used by trade professionals during equipment service, installation, and assembly where metric hex fasteners are present. Ensure power is removed and equipment is de-energized or isolated before accessing internal components requiring this key. The ball end is intended for moderate torque applications only — use the straight end of the key for final tightening to avoid rounding the fastener socket. Do not apply excessive force through the ball end, as this can damage both the fastener and the key tip.
