The PANDUIT UTPSP4MRDY is a Cat 6 copper patch cord finished in red, designed for structured cabling installations in commercial and enterprise network environments. Cat 6 patch cords carry data at speeds up to 1 Gbps at 100 MHz and are backward compatible with Cat 5e infrastructure. This cord is used to connect network equipment to patch panels, switches, and wall jacks. Licensed network technicians and low-voltage installers are the primary trades who specify and install this type of cabling. The red jacket color supports color-coded port management and cable identification in high-density installations.
This patch cord is suited for horizontal and equipment-room cabling in commercial office buildings, data centers, schools, and healthcare facilities. It terminates to standard 8P8C modular connectors and plugs directly into any Cat 6 or Cat 5e compatible jack, switch port, or patch panel port. Red color coding is commonly used to distinguish specific network segments, VLANs, or priority circuits in structured cabling systems.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard Cat 6 patch cord for use with Cat 6 and Cat 5e structured cabling infrastructure including patch panels, wall jacks, and network switches.
Installation is performed by low-voltage technicians or network cabling installers in accordance with ANSI/TIA-568 structured cabling standards. Avoid sharp bends below the minimum bend radius and do not over-cinch cable ties, as either can degrade signal performance. Verify patch cord length is adequate before terminating cable management runs to avoid tension on connectors.
