The PANDUIT STP6X9IG is a Cat 6a copper patch cord designed for structured cabling installations in commercial and industrial network environments. Cat 6a supports 10 Gigabit Ethernet at frequencies up to 500 MHz, making it a standard choice for high-density data centers, telecom rooms, and enterprise horizontal cabling runs. This patch cord ships as a single unit and is suited for connecting patch panels to switches or workstation outlets where shielded twisted pair performance is required. Licensed low-voltage technicians and network cabling installers are the primary trades handling this component.
Cat 6a shielded patch cords are used in applications where alien crosstalk (AXT) must be controlled, including open-office environments with dense cable runs, healthcare facilities, and industrial control cabinets with nearby electromagnetic interference sources. The STP6X9IG is sold individually and fits into rack-mounted patch panel systems as well as direct device connections at the work area outlet.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-fitment patch cord for Cat 6a shielded structured cabling systems in commercial and industrial network installations.
Installation is performed by licensed low-voltage or network cabling technicians in accordance with ANSI/TIA-568 structured cabling standards. Ensure patch cord shielding is properly bonded to shielded patch panel ports and shielded jacks to maintain ground continuity throughout the link. Avoid sharp bends tighter than the minimum bend radius specified for Cat 6a cable. Do not cinch cable ties so tightly that the cable jacket deforms, as this can degrade signal performance.
