The PANDUIT STP6X40MGR is a Category 6a shielded copper patch cord designed for structured cabling installations in commercial and enterprise network environments. Rated to the Cat 6a standard, this patch cord supports 10 Gigabit Ethernet transmission and is built to maintain signal integrity across high-density patch panels and switching equipment. The gray jacket color aids in cable identification and pathway management. This type of patch cord is typically installed by low-voltage cabling technicians and network infrastructure professionals during rack-and-stack or moves-adds-changes work.
Cat 6a patch cords are used in horizontal and backbone cabling segments where 10GbE performance is required at distances up to 100 meters. This cord is suited for data centers, server rooms, telecommunications closets, and enterprise LAN environments. The shielded construction helps manage alien crosstalk (AXT), making it appropriate for high-density installations where unshielded cords may not meet performance benchmarks. It ships as a single unit.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard patch cord for use with Category 6a shielded patch panels, keystone jacks, and structured cabling systems meeting TIA-568-C.2-1 or ISO/IEC 11801 Class EA requirements.
Installation should be performed by a qualified low-voltage cabling technician in accordance with TIA-568 standards and applicable local codes. Power down or disconnect active equipment at the port before seating or removing patch cords to avoid ESD damage to network hardware. Avoid sharp bends beyond the cable minimum bend radius, and do not over-dress or cinch tie wraps tightly around shielded cords, as this can degrade shielding effectiveness.
