The PANDUIT LCMA10-8-C is a copper compression metric lug designed for securing electrical conductors to equipment terminals and bus bars. Copper construction provides reliable conductivity and corrosion resistance in permanent termination applications. This type of lug is installed by compressing the barrel onto a stripped conductor using a calibrated compression tool, creating a gas-tight mechanical and electrical bond. Electricians and electrical contractors use compression lugs in panel boards, switchgear, motor control centers, and industrial equipment terminations where a secure, low-resistance connection is required.
The LCMA10-8-C is suited for use in residential, commercial, and light industrial electrical installations where metric-dimensioned conductors or mounting hardware are specified. Metric lugs are commonly specified in equipment manufactured to international standards, making this lug appropriate for imported machinery, metric-spec panels, and applications where metric bolt patterns are required at the termination point.
Designed as an OEM-style compression termination lug for use with metric-dimensioned conductors and metric-threaded terminal hardware in electrical panel and equipment applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with NEC requirements for conductor terminations. De-energize and lock out the circuit before stripping the conductor or installing the lug. Use only a calibrated compression tool approved for the lug size to achieve a proper crimp; hand tools or incorrect die sets can result in a failed termination. Inspect the completed crimp for deformation or cracking before restoring power.
