The PANDUIT LCC2/0-38D-X is a two-hole copper compression lug designed for making secure, low-resistance terminations in electrical power distribution systems. Compression lugs of this type are crimped onto the conductor using a hydraulic or ratchet compression tool, forming a gas-tight connection that resists vibration, corrosion, and thermal cycling. This lug is suited for use in switchgear, panelboards, motor control centers, and similar heavy electrical assemblies where a reliable mechanical and electrical bond is required. Licensed electricians and electrical contractors are the primary installers of this type of termination hardware.
Two-hole compression lugs are commonly used in commercial and industrial electrical installations where bolted terminations to bus bars, equipment terminals, or grounding points are required. The two-hole mounting pattern distributes mechanical load and prevents the lug from rotating under torque, which is critical in high-current applications. This lug is sold individually and is appropriate for use in new construction as well as maintenance and retrofit work on existing electrical distribution equipment.
Designed as an OEM-style compression lug for use in commercial and industrial electrical distribution applications requiring two-hole copper terminations.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). De-energize and lock out the circuit before beginning any termination work. Use a calibrated compression tool rated for the conductor size and lug series to ensure a proper crimp. Verify bolt torque at the mounting holes per the equipment manufacturer's specifications.
