The PANDUIT HSTT25-C2 is a thin-wall heat shrink tubing segment with a recovered diameter of 0.25 inches (6.4mm). Heat shrink tubing is used to insulate, protect, and bundle wire terminations, splices, and connections in electrical and low-voltage wiring applications. When heat is applied, the tubing contracts uniformly around conductors or terminals, creating a clean, secure sleeve that resists abrasion, moisture ingress, and accidental contact. Licensed electricians and low-voltage installers rely on thin-wall heat shrink for applications where a slim finished profile is required without sacrificing protection.
This tubing is suited for use in commercial and residential electrical installations, panel wiring, control panels, and equipment repair scenarios where conductors or terminals need identified or protected endpoints. It is appropriate for both new construction wiring and maintenance work where quick, reliable insulation is needed at wire junctions or terminations.
Designed as a standard thin-wall heat shrink tubing replacement for use with small-gauge conductors and wire terminations in residential and commercial electrical wiring applications.
Installation is typically performed by licensed electricians or low-voltage technicians. De-energize all circuits before applying heat shrink tubing to any termination or splice in compliance with NFPA 70 (NEC) lockout/tagout requirements. Use a calibrated heat gun rather than an open flame to apply even, controlled heat for consistent shrink results. Avoid overheating, which can damage the tubing or underlying conductor insulation.
