The PANDUIT FZ1BN3NNNSNM003 is a single-fiber OM4 multimode fiber optic pigtail terminated with an SC simplex connector. The fiber is 900-micron tight-buffered construction, suited for splice-and-terminate applications inside enclosures, patch panels, and fiber distribution units. OM4 glass supports high-bandwidth transmission and is rated for 10GbE, 40GbE, and 100GbE backbone runs at distances compliant with OM4 channel specifications. Network technicians and low-voltage installers use this pigtail to terminate loose-tube or ribbon cable without requiring field polishing of the end connector.
This pigtail is used in structured cabling installations in commercial buildings, data centers, and campus backbone runs. The SC simplex connector interfaces with standard SC-compatible patch panels, transceivers, and bulkhead couplers. The 900-micron buffer makes it appropriate for indoor termination work inside fiber enclosures where additional mechanical protection is provided by the enclosure itself rather than the cable jacket.
Designed as an OEM-style pigtail for use with standard SC simplex OM4 multimode fiber optic enclosures, splice trays, and patch panels accepting 900-micron buffered fiber.
Installation is performed by licensed low-voltage technicians or structured cabling installers following BICSI and TIA-568 standards. The pigtail is fusion-spliced or mechanically spliced to the field fiber inside a protected enclosure — do not route unprotected 900-micron buffered fiber in open pathways without additional mechanical protection. Keep bend radius at or above the minimum specified for OM4 fiber to avoid attenuation at connector and splice points. Inspect the SC ferrule end-face with a fiber scope before mating to confirm the factory polish is undamaged.
