The PANDUIT FW2RPU1U1NNM003 is an OM5 wideband multimode fiber optic patch cable built for high-density structured cabling environments. It features a 2-fiber duplex configuration with a 2mm round jacket, LC Uniboot connectors, and an OFNP (plenum-rated) outer jacket. The Uniboot design consolidates both fibers into a single LC connector housing, reducing cable bulk and improving airflow management in congested patch panels and enclosures. PC (physical contact) polished ferrules provide low insertion loss for reliable signal transmission across short-wavelength and wideband applications.
This patch cable is suited for data center, enterprise LAN, and campus backbone installations where plenum-rated cabling is required by fire code. The OM5 fiber type supports wideband wavelength division multiplexing (WBWDM), making it a forward-compatible choice for high-speed parallel optics applications. It is installed by low-voltage technicians, network cabling contractors, and data center infrastructure teams. The Uniboot connector is particularly useful in high-density fiber distribution units and switch ports where individual duplex connectors create management challenges.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard patch cable for LC-port fiber optic equipment requiring OM5 wideband multimode connectivity in plenum-rated installations.
Installation should be performed by a qualified low-voltage cabling technician in accordance with TIA-568 and applicable local fire and building codes. Power down or disable active optics at both endpoints before connecting or disconnecting fiber patch cables to protect transceivers and avoid eye-safety hazards. Do not exceed the minimum bend radius of the cable during routing, and avoid pinching or crushing the jacket. Dust caps should remain on unused connectors to protect PC-polished ferrule end-faces from contamination.
