The PANDUIT CJ588WHY is a Mini-Com modular jack insert rated for Category 5e unshielded twisted pair (UTP) structured cabling. It snaps into any standard Mini-Com faceplate, surface mount box, or patch panel housing and terminates horizontal copper runs at the work area outlet or consolidation point. The jack provides the electrical performance required for 100 Mbps Fast Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet applications over Cat 5e cabling. Installation is performed by low-voltage cabling technicians as part of a structured cabling system build-out or retrofit. Each unit is sold individually.
This module is suited for use in commercial office, light industrial, education, and healthcare structured cabling installations where a modular, field-terminated outlet solution is required. It fits the Mini-Com system platform, allowing installers to populate faceplates and panels incrementally. The white color designation suits standard outlet and patch field aesthetics in typical commercial environments.
Designed for use with PANDUIT Mini-Com system faceplates, surface mount boxes, and patch panel inserts that accept the standard Mini-Com snap-in module format.
Installation is performed by a licensed low-voltage cabling technician following TIA-568 structured cabling standards. Power down or de-energize any active equipment connected to the circuit before terminating the jack. Use a 110-style punch-down tool for IDC termination of the horizontal cable conductors. Follow the wiring diagram on the module housing and adhere to the color code printed on the insert for T568A or T568B wiring scheme as specified by the project design.
