The OSG VGM7-0042 is a 7-flute, solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance finishing operations in ferrous and hard materials. Built on OSG's VGM7 platform, it features a 3/8 inch mill diameter, a 0.02 inch corner radius, and a 9/16 inch length of cut. The EXO coating provides enhanced wear resistance and thermal stability, making this tool well suited for demanding cuts in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. The close pitch, right-hand spiral flute geometry and variable index design help reduce chatter and improve surface finish consistency at the wall.

Installation Notes

The shank diameter is held to h6 tolerance, so select a collet or end mill holder rated for that fit class to maintain concentricity.
