The OSG HP434-2360 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling across a wide range of workpiece materials. It features a 6 mm cutting diameter, a 0.2 mm corner radius, and four flutes arranged in a right-hand spiral with a 30-degree helix angle. The TiAlN PVD coating improves heat resistance and wear life during extended cuts. With a 13 mm length of cut and an 80 mm overall length, this tool suits both roughing and finishing operations on CNC machining centers using a standard straight-cylindrical toolholder. It is center-cutting and single-ended.

The HP434-2360 is engineered for use on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials, making it a versatile choice for job shops and production environments. The 0.2 mm corner radius reduces stress concentrations at pocket corners and improves edge life compared to sharp-corner tooling. Normal pitch and medium helix geometry support chip evacuation in both slotting and peripheral milling applications. The 6 mm shank diameter with h6 tolerance fits standard collet chucks and shrink-fit holders without modification.

Installation Notes

Installation is performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians using a collet chuck, shrink-fit, or hydraulic toolholder rated for the 6 mm shank diameter. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool is secured to the published runout tolerance of the holder before engaging any workpiece. Verify shank insertion depth meets the toolholder manufacturer minimum engagement specification. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer recommended cutting parameters for the target workpiece material and depth of cut.
