The OSG 91400811 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding machining environments. Built on OSG Series 9140, this tool features six flutes with a 45-degree helix angle and a right-hand spiral flute configuration, producing efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes. The EXO coating provides enhanced wear resistance and heat reduction at the cutting edge. With a 0.315-inch cutting diameter and a 0.748-inch length of cut, this end mill is suited for slotting, profiling, and finish passes in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Micrograin carbide construction delivers consistent edge integrity across extended run times. Licensed machinists and CNC operators are the primary installers of this tooling.
This end mill fits standard toolholding systems that accept an 0.315-inch shank diameter, including collet chucks and shrink-fit holders commonly found on vertical and horizontal machining centers. The regular length profile and non-extended-reach geometry make it appropriate for general-purpose cavity and contour milling at moderate depths. It is centercutting, allowing plunge entry where required. Typical applications include die and mold work, fixture machining, and production part milling where a 6-flute finish geometry is specified.

Follow the tool manufacturer and machine builder guidelines for appropriate speeds, feeds, and depth-of-cut parameters for the workpiece material.
