Built from XPM high-speed steel with an XPM coating, it delivers extended tool life in demanding production environments. The bit features a 130-degree drill point angle, a standard point type, and a right-hand spiral flute with X-thinned web geometry for improved chip evacuation and reduced thrust. At 0.076 inches (wire size No. 48) in diameter, it is well suited for close-tolerance drilling where consistent hole quality is required. Licensed machinists, tool-and-die technicians, and maintenance mechanics are the primary installers.

This bit is intended for screw machine, CNC drilling, and general production drilling applications in steel, alloy steel, cast iron, and nickel alloy workpieces.
