The OSG 8557340 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining applications. With a 3 mm cutting diameter and a 9 mm length of cut, this tool removes material in a controlled, repeatable path across a range of workpiece materials. The micrograin carbide substrate supports edge retention under demanding cutting conditions, while the DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coating reduces friction and heat buildup at the cutting edge. Three right-hand flutes with a 40-degree helix angle provide efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes. This end mill is a single-end tool with a 6 mm shank diameter and a 55 mm overall length.
This end mill is suited for small-diameter milling work on machining centers and CNC mills in job shop, production, and tool-and-die environments.
