The OSG 84401523 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. With a 0.75-inch cutting diameter and a 1.875-inch length of cut, this tool delivers a full-depth profile suitable for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling. Six flutes provide a high feed-rate capability and a fine surface finish. A 43-degree helix angle reduces cutting forces and improves chip evacuation. The DUROREY finish enhances wear resistance and extends tool life in demanding applications. This end mill is intended for use by machinists and toolroom professionals working on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines.
This tool is suited for high-productivity milling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials where a longer tool life and consistent surface finish are required. The centercutting geometry allows plunge milling in addition to standard peripheral and slot milling operations. Its right-hand cut and right-hand flute configuration matches the standard spindle rotation of most vertical and horizontal machining centers. The 0.75-inch shank diameter provides secure tool holding in standard collet chucks, end mill holders, or shrink-fit toolholders.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or new-installation solid carbide square end mill for use in standard 0.75-inch end mill holders, collet chucks, and shrink-fit toolholding systems on CNC and manual milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. The machine spindle must be fully stopped and the machine placed in an locked-out state before changing tooling. Tool runout should be verified with a dial indicator after seating in the holder to ensure concentricity within acceptable tolerances for the application. Follow the toolholder manufacturer torque guidelines and OSG recommended speeds and feeds for the specific workpiece material.
