The OSG 82108621 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for high-performance milling across a broad range of workpiece materials. It features a 3/4 inch cutting diameter, a 0.03 inch corner radius, and 4 helical flutes with a variable helix geometry that reduces chatter and improves surface finish. The 1-1/2 inch length of cut and 4 inch overall length suit standard milling setups in CNC machining centers. A Duarise PVD coating increases surface hardness and thermal resistance, extending tool life in demanding cutting conditions. This tool is centercut capable, allowing plunge entry, and is designed for both roughing and finishing operations.
The OSG 82108621 is suited for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. It fits conventional CNC toolholder setups and is appropriate for job shops, production machining, and aerospace or die-mold environments where corner integrity and surface finish are critical. The right-hand flute direction and right-hand cut orientation are standard for most vertical and horizontal machining center applications. The 3/4 inch straight-cylindrical shank seats directly into ER, Weldon, or shrink-fit toolholders sized for 3/4 inch shank diameter.
Designed for use with standard CNC toolholders accepting a 3/4 inch straight-cylindrical shank, including ER collet chucks, hydraulic chucks, and shrink-fit holders. Part of the OSG Series 8210 end mill family.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the toolholder bore and shank are clean and free of chips before seating the tool to the specified stick-out length. Verify runout with a dial indicator before cutting, as excessive runout accelerates wear on corner radius end mills. Follow the machine tool manufacturer guidelines and OSG cutting data recommendations for speeds and feeds appropriate to the workpiece material.
