The OSG 82010521 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. It features a 0.375-inch diameter cutting face with four flutes and a 1.5-inch length of cut, making it well suited for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling. The micrograin carbide construction delivers hardness and wear resistance across a range of workpiece materials. The Duarise coating reduces friction and extends tool life in demanding cuts. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and CNC programmers working on mill or machining center setups.
The 82010521 fits standard 3/8-inch collets and tool holders with a 0.375-inch shank diameter. The 4-inch overall length places it in the long-length category, giving added reach for deeper workpiece features without requiring extended-reach tooling. The straight flute geometry and right-hand cut with right-hand flute direction are appropriate for conventional milling operations on ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Variable helix and variable index geometry help reduce chatter and harmonic vibration during aggressive passes. Centercutting capability allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece.
Designed for use with standard 3/8-inch collet chucks and end mill holders on vertical mills, CNC machining centers, and similar milling equipment. Part of the OSG Series 8201 product line.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool holder is clean and free of debris before seating the shank. Tighten the collet or set screw to the tool holder manufacturer's specified torque using calibrated tooling. Verify runout with a dial indicator after installation before beginning any cut, particularly given the long-length configuration which increases deflection sensitivity at extended reach.
