The OSG 7826022 is a solid carbide milling insert in the SXMT square style, coated with TiAlN via a PVD process for extended wear resistance at elevated cutting temperatures. It carries the manufacturer grade XP2025 and is part of the 78PHC series, designed for use in compatible face and shoulder milling cutters. The insert measures 0.5 inches in length and width, with a thickness of 0.1875 inches, and features a 1.00 mm (0.0394 inch) corner radius with a GM chip breaker geometry. Four cutting edges are available on this single-sided, right-hand insert with a positive rake angle and chamfered and honed cutting edge style.
