The OSG 6737405 is a single-end square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal and alloy workpieces. Built from M35 Powdered Metal High Speed Steel and finished with a Titanium Nitride (TiN) coating, this tool delivers extended wear resistance and improved surface hardness compared to standard HSS. It measures 0.0938 inches (3/32 inches) in mill diameter with a 9/32-inch length of cut and a 1-7/8-inch overall length. The 30-degree helix and two-flute spiral geometry support efficient chip evacuation and clean cutting on manual mills, CNC machining centers, and drill presses. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals specify this tool for finishing and light roughing passes where tight tolerances are required.
This end mill is suited for use in job shops, production machining environments, and toolroom applications. Its 3/16-inch shank diameter fits standard collets and end mill holders on both manual and CNC equipment. The regular-length designation makes it appropriate for general-purpose milling where extended reach is not required. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute orientation are standard for conventional milling setups. The centercutting capability allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece without pre-drilling. It is commonly used on ferrous metals, stainless steels, and harder alloys where M35 cobalt-bearing HSS provides a performance advantage over standard M2.

Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety procedures. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before changing tooling. Verify runout with a dial indicator before cutting to prevent premature tool wear or workpiece damage.
