The OSG 652010911 is a taper length drill bit engineered for precision drilling in demanding industrial and machining applications. Built from solid carbide, it delivers the rigidity and wear resistance required for drilling hard materials, composites, and alloys. The 140-degree split point angle promotes accurate starts and reduces thrust force. An EgiAs coating provides enhanced lubricity and surface hardness, extending tool life in high-cycle production environments. The bit features a straight shank with a 3.00 mm shank diameter and an 8xD flute-length-to-diameter ratio, making it well suited for deeper hole applications where chip evacuation and straightness matter. X-thinning on the web further reduces cutting resistance. Coolant-through capability supports high-speed machining with through-spindle coolant systems.
This drill bit is used in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and multi-spindle setups where consistent hole quality and tight tolerances are required. The 7/64 inch (0.1094 inch) diameter and taper length body make it a practical choice for aerospace, automotive, mold and die, and general precision metalworking operations. Right-hand spiral flute geometry promotes efficient chip removal in through-hole and blind-hole drilling. It is sold individually and is suited for both production shops and toolroom use.
Designed as an OEM-style taper length drill bit for use in standard straight-shank toolholders and drill chucks accepting a 3.00 mm shank diameter in CNC and manual machining setups.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and the machine in a safe, locked-out state. Ensure the straight shank is fully seated and properly clamped in the toolholder or drill chuck before operation. When using coolant-through capability, verify that the spindle and coolant system are compatible with the bit shank size. Follow the machine tool manufacturer guidelines for speed and feed rates appropriate to the workpiece material and hole depth.
